The office of Owen Tan Architect specializes in the design of custom single family residences, residential remodeling and interior design. Established in 1985, we have designed homes in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Albany, Kensington, Orinda, Larkspur, Lafayette, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, St. Helena and on the island of Maui in Hawaii.

We believe in design which is timeless, well proportioned, appropriate in its context and that responds to the desires and requirements of our Clients. A design should be sited to take advantage of topography and views as well as sun exposure and wind patterns. A floor plan should function and flow naturally and logically. There should be an integrated relationship between the outdoors and indoors. We believe in incorporating green principals and technologies into our designs as much as practical.
